  • In today's 'high-tech' workplace, communication takes shape in so many ways. Conversation of course is a big one and whether face to face or virtual, it involves a variety of dynamics. The ability to handle challenging conversations effectively depends on confidence and thoughtfulness.

    In this session, expert Marisa Murray will share her experiences and insights on how to respond to common negotiation tactics and develop mutually beneficial solutions. This is an opportunity for professionals from all disciplines to learn:

    · the key listening skills that help identify the three underlying messages inherent in every conversation,
    · the importance of proactive relationship building and goal alignment, and
    · techniques to manage emotions and build resilience to negative experiences.

    This program qualifies for up to 1.5 hours of eligible educational activity or CPD/MCE credit under the mandatory education regimes in British Columbia, Ontario and Québec and specifically counts towards the Ethics/Professionalism requirement in British Columbia and Ontario.
