They will present and discuss the legislative changes implemented or considered in relation to these changes in the freight transportation industry, the issues for the industry stemming from such changes, and how the industry is preparing to react.
Labour and employment and regulatory/criminal matters will also be considered, including how employers will be permitted to act in order to ensure that employees not drive under the influence of cannabis, and the extent to which carriers may be responsible for the conduct of their drivers.
Finally, the presentation will focus on the opportunities and constraints brought by current legislation in the context of impending technological advances in the freight transportation industry.
